About this shot

On this evening I made my way down to a nearby sandy beach and noticed this Great Blue Heron searching for food in the Northumberland Strait. (Nova Scotia, Canada) I followed this beautiful creature for quite some time, gradually getting closer and closer. He was totally undisturbed by me being in his presence. At one point he shook and ruffled up his feathers and I was fortunate enough to capture it before the feathers settled back down. Shot taken in Amherst Shore, Nova Scotia.
